HOW IT ALL STARTED...
A Therapeutic Garden
Down Cemetery Lane in Church Stretton an exciting new project has taken place..
With the help of a team of volunteers and the support of the community, some derelict land has been transformed into a centre where well-being is improved through gardening and spending time in nature.
From a derelict wasteland to a cherished, productive community resource.
The facilities and environment of Glyn’s Garden has progressed tremendously since the beginning….
Brambles and overgrowth have been cleared.
Ground has been dug and vegetables have been grown in the newly invigorated soil.
Vegetable patch has been fenced to restrain the ravages of the rabbits.
Hard standing has been cleared and piles of soil landscaped.
Wild flower meadow has been established and the rampant weeds cut.
Meandering walkway has been delineated ready for surfacing.
Plastic gravel grids procured for walk ways.
Drive has been cleared then surfaced.
Greenhouses have been donated and installed.
Water tower has been erected and plumbed.
Shed to house the waterless toilet has been erected.
Barn has been made safe and useable.
Site has been fenced and hedges planted.
Tool shed donated and filled with donated tools.
Donated fruit bushes planted.
With help and support from our wonderful volunteers and supporters.
